Max's first T-ball game!

(Notice Mia's BRIGHT yellow finger nails?! She went to a birthday party where they took the girls to get their nails done. All the girls picked out pink...except for Mia. I was informed by the mother that Mia's first choice was neon green, but when asked, "Mia, are you sure you want that color?", Mia quickly changed her mind...to YELLOW! lol! That's my girl:) )

Go Mariners! Max has started his first season of T-ball and surprisingly the kid has skillz! He actually can hit the ball, even when the coach lobs it to him! I do, however, have to yell at him while he's out playing to put the mitt on 'THE OTHER HAND'!! He will get the hang of it I'm sure! It's kinda fun too, since he has some of his buddies that he played soccer with! I just love being in the stands cheering him on! PLAY BALL!!

~Max waves to his fans
~Ryan and Mia
~I looked out the window and what did I see??...

~WW and I soakin' up the rays (and in my case, FRYING my chest! Good times!)

So, again, I apologize to all of you who have to experience "Winter" (am I pronouncing that correctly??) It was yet another GLORIOUS day in southern California and we took full advantage! It has been SO long since I have been to Balboa, and Roy's cousins live just up the road, so we decided to meet for a couple hours and let the kids run wild! It's on days like these that I feel SO grateful to live where I live, and the mortgage almost seems worth it:)

Darcy's Baby Shower

~February 28, 2009~

Babies! Babies! Everyone is having babies! It seems like I have been doing nothing but going to baby showers lately...and it has been so great! All my BFF's are spawning and it has been one of the neatest things to experience that with them! This shower was in honor of Darcy and baby Gabriella. That baby is not only going to have two great parents, but the girl is going to be the best dressed kid in town! Can't wait to meet her!

Two down...two to go! Good Luck Ali and Darc:)

Farewell Jen!

It was bittersweet getting to enjoy the delectable desserts at 'Extraordinary Desserts' and having to say good-bye to our good friend Jen:( We will miss you Jen! Good Luck in Vegas!!

Max's Open House

~Max with his teacher, Mrs. Jensen
~Max is learning to tell time!

~The kid can READ! SOOO AMAZING!

So we got the chance to go to Max's Open House at his school the other night. It was really great getting to see Max's classroom and what he does all day! He was SOOOO excited to show us (and especially Van) his class and around the school. It was so great to see how many people knew Max and how many of the teachers pulled me aside to tell me how much they love my son! It was really fun to meet Max's 'girlfriend' Andrea. At first I was worried that he had a girlfriend, but come to find out she is a mom of one of the other students who Max has a HUGE crush on and talks about incessantly! What can I say? The kid has a thing for older women! LOL! I still can't believe I have a first grader! Where does the time go????

The Natural History Museum

What to do on a rainy day in San Diego? The Natural History Museum, of course! Roy got free admission tickets for the museum, so we took the kids this past Saturday! It only took about 40 minutes to go through the whole thing (not as big as we thought it was), but the kids loved seeing all the dinosaur bones! We are so lucky to live in San Diego because when it rains (which is not very often) there are SO many cool things to do:)

We blessed the Van man this past Sunday with lots of family support. Thank you to all who made the trek down to celebrate the special day with us, it really meant the world to us to have you all there! Roy gave a beautiful blessing and afterwards we all headed to the park for some good eatin' and to visit while the kids ran themselves silly! At the end of the day, Roy and I were EXHAUSTED while feeling the day was a real success! We just feel so blessed to have this healthy baby boy in our home....We love you Vanner:)
