Sea-Life Aquarium & Legoland

We are so lucky to live in San Diego where there are so many fun things to do! We live about 4 miles from legoland but don't go very often, so this was a big treat for the kids! We did the aquarium first (not worth the $$, good thing we had free tickets!) and then it was off to legoland! Mia is finally big enough to ride all the rides there so it was really fun getting to experience that with her. We also did the 'Brick or Treat' which they do every Saturday in October. The whole place is decorated for Halloween and it really kicked off the season in a fun way:) I love FALL!!

Extraordinary Desserts!

Never one to pass up an opportunity to celebrate! My friend Kiersten (the one sitting next to me in the blue dress) got a book (Paranormalcy-Coming Aug '10) PUBLISHED (a three book deal, as a matter of fact) and I could think of only one place that was worthy of such an honor!
The only down side of the evening was the part where I asked for a Diet Coke, and they informed me they do not serve said beverage in their establishment....So we promptly hit up the Sevie Elevie next door and got our fix! Thanks Kathy for always being my wingman!

First Day of School!

Summer is officially OVER:( Max started second grade and Mia started KINDERGARTEN!!! I think both of them had a really good first day of school. Although, when asked how her first day of school was, Mia replied, "I REALLY, REALLY don't want to talk about it!".
Alrighty then.

Tahoe 2009

I am finally able to post some pictures from our fabulous trip to Tahoe (our home computer is dying a slow death!)
Our family looks forward to Tahoe every year. It seems like when we are on our way home from one such trip, my kids are already talking about the next time they get to go! I have to thank my wonderful in-laws for providing such a fabulous trip and providing my children with memories that will last a life time!
As you can see, we pretty much hang out at the beach (Rubicon-West Shore) and take the boat out...Max has been dubbed the 'Boat Man' and really helped Popop this year by getting the boat ready every day:)
It was great to hang out with family and just spend time catching up with those who we don't get to see all the time!
Tahoe...We love you and can't wait to see you next summer!

Grandpa Comes to Visit!

It was a very big deal at the Willardson house when my dad came to visit, since this was his first time meeting Van (Grandbaby #12...#13 being born in January to Stephen & Simone!) The two hit it off right away and my kids ADORED having him at our house (it didn't hurt that he brought his dog Hollie). We hope that we didn't traumatize Grandpa by all the noise and craziness and we hope he comes and visits again SOON!!!
